Cowboys’ Unique Welcome: HC Mike McCarthy Returns to Team Meeting with a Musical Twist, 50 Cent’s ‘Many Men’ Sets the Tone After Surgery

The Dallas Cowboys‘ head coach Mike McCarthy returned to the team’s facility two days after his successful appendicitis surgery. He experienced some abdominal pain on Wednesday and was set to undergo a surgery. He has now made a successful return to the team and will coach them against the Philadelphia Eagles in their next game on Sunday.

The Cowboys are on a roll in recent weeks. They are on a four-game winning streak and have been dominant in each of those games. So far this season, they have only lost three of their 12 games and are on course to fight the Eagles for the NFC’s top spot.

However, the Cowboys have already lost to the Eagles in their week 9 matchup. A lot of the credit for the Cowboys’ success this season can be attributed to McCarthy and his coaching.

McCarthy was welcomed to the facility by his staff and his players with the tunes of 50 Cent‘s ‘Many Men’ playing in the locker room. The 60-year-old head coach is hoping to lead the Cowboys to the Super Bowl this season.

A Cowboys win on Sunday will see them go level with the Eagles in the conference. The Dallas-based team is playing a crucial game, and the players will feel a lot more confident knowing that their head coach is on the sidelines only a few days removed from surgery.

The Dallas Cowboys will play a crucial game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. They will have their head coach, Mike McCarthy, on the sidelines for that game just days after having appendicitis surgery. He was back in Arlington to be with his team before the all-important game on Sunday. He opened up about his surgery.

I feel good --And I anticipate everything staying normal come Sunday night. You miss the players and coaches -- that's the hardest part about being away -- but the only game plan meeting that I missed was a short-yardage and goal line. It definitely felt great walking in here today.

The Cowboys won their last game against the Seattle Seahawks, 41-35. They have scored more than 40 points in four of their last six games and will look to continue that form against the Eagles on Sunday.
