Travis Kelce is making sure Taylor Swift turns 35 in style as he has plotted an ‘extra special’ celebration for the pop star.
The songstress, who has been dating the Kansas City Chiefs star for 18 months, will celebrate her birthday on December 13 – the week after performing her final ever Eras Tour show in Vancouver.
However, while the ‘Fortnight’ singer’s schedule is about to become clearer, the same can’t be said for Kelce.
The Chiefs may have already clinched a spot in the playoffs but there’s still work to be done as the NFL’s regular season enters its home stretch.
The reigning Super Bowl champions are slated to travel to Ohio on December 15 to face the Cleveland Browns, while the Pittsburgh Steelers lie in wait on Christmas Day.
But that hasn’t stopped Kelce from juggling his professional and personal lives to ensure he spoils his girlfriend on her special day, according to a report.
‘Although he’ll be playing on Christmas and has an away game the weekend of Taylor’s birthday, Travis is going to make sure to take time out to celebrate both occasions with her,’ a source told Page Six.
While Swift has been spotted cheering on her NFL beau at Arrowhead this season, she hasn’t hit the road for any of the Chiefs’ away games this year, even when not on tour.
Last year, she donned a custom Santa hat to ring in the holiday at the Chiefs’ Christmas game but it remains unclear if she will make another festive appearance come December 25.
Yet, even if the 14-time Grammy Award winner doesn’t opt for an NFL-inspired Christmas, Kelce has got the role of Santa covered.
The tight end has been ‘shopping for Christmas and birthday gifts for Taylor for quite a while now.’ According to the source, Kelce is ‘not the type to leave these things to the last minute’ and has been ‘picking up items here and there for the past several months whenever he has a chance.’
The three-time Super Bowl winner has reportedly been paying close attention to Swift’s wish list, keeping track of items she’s casually mentioned.
‘Some of the gifts are things Taylor has casually mentioned she would like,’ the source continued. ‘Travis makes sure to always listen even when Taylor doesn’t realize he is.’
The 35-year-old has previously lavished Swift with expensive gifts, reportedly spending around $22,000 on Valentine’s Day gifts for the Cruel Summer songstress alone.
This are said to have included a slew of designer clothes and accessories, a $3,050 24-karat gold rose sculpture from the luxury furniture company Perigold, and two boxes of 250 roses ‘eternity’ roses, which are said to last up to a year and cost $2,199 each.
And it didn’t end there. It was also reported that he gifted her a $1,050 black lambskin Dior beret, a $1,100 Celine hat, a $5,100 Bottega Veneta purse, and a $1,300 Hermès Chevaux Dechaines shawl.
Last but not least, the athlete got himself and Taylor, whose net worth is estimated to be $1.1 billion, custom matching bracelets with the letters TNT – standing for Taylor ‘n’ Travis – written in diamond-encrusted gold beads.
