Football Hall of Famer Joe Montana listed his 87-acre property in Sonoma County, California, Friday, asking $3.1 million.
The famed quarterback and his wife, Jennifer, purchased the two-parcel lot in 1998 for $1.8 million, according to PropertyShark records.
Located in the town of Calistoga, the property has views of surrounding vineyards and an on-site lake, according to the listing.
A gated bridge entrance leads up to the wine country property, which has equestrian facilities, including an 11-stall breezeway barn with a tack room, a covered arena and a round pen.
A ranch office provides additional space for storage and arena viewing. The 945-square-foot office could also serve as a three-bedroom living space with a full kitchen, according to the listing.
Avram Goldman and Tim Hayden of Compass hold the listing. Neither immediately responded to requests for comment.
The available land is just down the road from another one of Mr. Montana’s properties—according to PropertyShark records, which the Los Angeles Times previously reported listed for $49 million in 2009. The house has since been removed from the market.
Montana, 63, was a four-time Super Bowl champion with the San Francisco 49ers and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000, the first year he was eligible.
