Josh Allen is one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks and many NFL fans consider the Buffalo Bills star as at least a top five signal caller in the league. George Pickens, on the other hand, has a very up and down reputation with fans.
Allen and the Bills played the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football, where they would earn their tenth win of the 2024 season after beating the 49ers by a score of 35 to 10. The Steelers would also win their week their week 13 game against the Bengals 44 to 38.
While Allen is receiving tons of attention for his record breaking game last, many fans are upset about a certain celebration that went penalized by the NFL after the aforementioned George Pickens was penalized for the same thing.
One fan posted to X to question the league while using photo’s of the two NFL standouts. They questioned what the difference between the two celebrations was after Allen wasn’t penalized and Pickens was.
“NFL glazing the Bills,” joked another.
“One’s a Bill. One’s a Steeler,” added another fan.
One NFL fan added to the comedy, commenting, “The person on the left is Josh Allen and the person on the right is George Pickens. That wasn’t hard.“
One fan pointed out that “George used the double-barreled shotgun finger.“
“One is the MVP. The other is a Flag for breathing,” complained another fan.
“Josh Allen didn’t high step through the end zone and then follow it up with this after only getting a first down,” one commenter said.
Another took it to an analytical level, saying, “Was there a “hand motion” with Allen’s like he was shooting a gun? That’s the only difference I can think of, otherwise you have a fair point.“
While it may have been an unfair call, fans are still identifying that there was indeed a difference between the two celebration. The unfortunate reality is that the refs called it the way they called it, and fans will just have to deal with Pickens getting penalized.
