Dallas Cowboys star Dak Prescott and girlfriend Sarah Ramos welcomed a baby girl, ‘MJ’, last week, the quarterback said Monday.
Both the baby and Ramos are in good health, Prescott said.
Being born on Thursday means the first child of Prescott and Ramos’ would have been born on February 29, or Leap Day.
Rumors of Ramos and Prescott dating only surfaced last September, with the couple announcing they were expecting a baby in November.
Prescott talked about his new-found fatherhood, including that he is already changing MJ’s diapers.
‘Yeah I feel different, especially wake up in the morning, you see that baby and understand the responsibilities,’ Prescott said.
‘Everything that I’ve always wanted for myself, but to want that for somebody else even more. It’s special. Everybody’s healthy and at home. We’re blessed,’ Prescott added.
Prescott has changed only a few diapers, but joked he likes passing that job off to Ramos.
Prescott has been the Cowboys starting quarterback since 2016.
Despite his happiness off the field as a new father, Prescott has yet to lead Dallas to continued playoff success.
The Cowboys had a 12-5 record each of the past three seasons, but have not made a conference championship game with Prescott leading the squad.
