Dak Prescott is an American football quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). Dak was born on July 29, 1993, in Sulphur, Louisiana as Rayne Dakota Prescott

Dak attended the Haughton High School in Haughton, Louisiana, and played football for the Buccaneers. From 2014 to 2015, he attended college at Mississippi State a scholarship he accepted from Mississippi State over offers from Louisiana Tech, LSU, Memphis, Nicholls State, North Texas, and TCU.

Dak played college football at Mississippi State and was selected by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. With the Cowboys, he was considered to serve as a backup in his rookie season but due to the Cowboy’s starter Tony Romo’s injury in the preseason, Dak became the Cowboys’ starting quarterback.

Dak earned acknowledgement during the year for his on-field success, which included helping the Cowboys grapple the top seed in their conference. Dak set many rookie quarterbacks records and was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year including gaining a Pro Bowl selection.

Margaret Ebarb was Dak Prescott’s maternal grandmother, who passed away at age 86, on Thursday, October 28, 2021. Margaret was born Margaret Bernice Townsend Ebarb on December 16, 1934, in Natchitoches, LA. Margaret was an educator who retired from the Calcasieu Parish School Board after over 30 years of teaching.

Margaret was active in helping Dak and his other siblings after they lost their mother, Ebarb’s daughter, Peggy, in 2013 to colon cancer.

Glyndell Ebarb was Dak Prescot’s maternal grandfather who passed away at the age on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Glyndell was born Glyndell Wilbert Ebarb on Feb 15, 1930, in Zwolle, Sabine Parish, Louisiana, USA.

A 1948 graduate of Zwolle High School, he entered the U.S. Air Force where he served for four years and later graduated from Northwestern State College where he met his wife, Margaret.
